Conde Nast publishes new collection of travel essays

I can't resist a new book for the bedside table. This could be it.

Condé Nast recently released a new collection of travel stories entitled "The Condé Nast Traveler Book of Unforgettable Journeys". Featuring 21 travel stories the book takes the reader on a trip around the world.

At least that's what the blurb says. I have yet to get my hands on a copy, and living in New Zealand means I'm probably going to have to pay through the nose for it. But, based on previous Condé Nast compliations I've no doubt it will be inspiring.

I managed to get a sneaky peek at one of the travel stories. "Primal Dreams" is written by Russell Banks and tells of a solitary trip to the Florida Everglades. His passion for the place is obvious and the imagery exciting as he details his impressions of a Jurassic environment.

The book is available from most major online outlets as well as, of course, Amazon where it's currently listed at just under $11.

I wonder what your favourite story will be? I'll let you know when I finally get my copy. Or do they provide free ones for reviewers? *wink*
