Happy 10th Birthday to Condé Nast UK

Ten years ago this month, the first ever issue of Condé Nast in the UK rolled off the printing press and on to the shelves.

Throughout that decade the magazine has maintained its commitment to “truth in travel”, taking no free travel trips, paying for all their accommodation and transportation and never knowingly publishing information garnered from a press trip. How refreshing!

Nowadays readers demand honesty in travel writing. They want to know the realities instead of being marketed to via bias travelers trapped in a PR-controlled environment. As Sarah Miller, Condé Nast’s launch editor put it, "Travel isn't a controlled experience. It is what happens to you."
